Getting Started

Welcome to the world of domino puzzles! This guide will teach you the fundamentals of solving domino placement puzzles.

Basic Rules

• Each domino has two halves with dots (pips) ranging from 0 to 6
• Dominoes can be rotated in 4 directions: horizontal or vertical
• Each colored region has specific rules that must be satisfied

Region Types

Sum regions (N): The total of all pips in the region must equal N

Equal regions (=): All pips in the region must have the same value

Not Equal regions (≠): All pips in the region must have different values

Less than regions (< N): The total of all pips in the region must less than N

Greater than regions (> N): The total of all pips in the region must greater than N

Basic Strategy

1. Start with the smallest regions first
2. Look for regions with strict constraints
3. Use process of elimination
4. Don't be afraid to try different orientations
